This LEGO‑themed pregnancy calculator was created to make pregnancy tracking more visual, friendly, and fun. Traditional pregnancy charts can feel clinical or overwhelming, so this tool reimagines the journey using colorful LEGO‑style illustrations that grow week by week.
Using simple and standard measurements it is easier to visualize to size and growth week by week. While the regular visualizers use for example fruits as comparison, the size in real-life varies and it sometimes can feel like growth is stagnant or even going backwards!
Each week shows an image that represents the approximate size of the baby. The goal is to bring a sense of joy and clarity to the experience, whether you're expecting, supporting someone who is, or simply curious about how pregnancy progresses.
During the first trimester, pregnancy growth is usually measured using CRL (Crown–Rump Length). This is the distance from the top of the baby’s head (the crown) to the bottom of the torso (the rump). At this early stage, the baby’s legs are curled up tightly, so measuring the full body length wouldn’t be accurate. CRL gives a reliable and consistent way to estimate gestational age and track early development.
Around week 14, the baby begins to stretch out, and the proportions change. At this point, CRL becomes less useful, and healthcare providers switch to standard fetal measurements such as:
These measurements give a clearer picture of growth during the second and third trimesters, when the baby’s body is developing rapidly and becoming more proportional. That’s why the calculator switches from CRL-based estimates to regular fetal measurements after week 14.
